Plain-English summary. This website is AskNode’s marketing site. Use it lawfully, don’t attack it, and don’t rely on the on-page assistant for anything important — it is a demonstration and it can be wrong. Nothing here is a contract for services; if we work together, that will be governed by a separate signed agreement.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of asknode.io (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site is operated by Samuel Pickford, trading as AskNode, of Adelaide, South Australia (“AskNode”, “we”, “us”).

2. About this site

This site describes AskNode’s products and services and lets you request a demonstration. It is aimed at organisations and their representatives. It is not intended for consumers, and nothing on it constitutes an offer capable of acceptance. Descriptions of capabilities, integrations, timelines and deployment models are indicative and are not warranties or contractual commitments.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of applicable law
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected system
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site, or circumvent its security or anti-bot measures
  • submit data that is false or misleading, or that impersonates another person or organisation
  • submit another person’s personal data without their permission
  • interfere with the site’s operation, including through denial-of-service attacks, scraping at volume, or automated submissions
  • introduce malware or any other harmful code
  • use the site or its content to build or train a competing product or machine learning model

We may block access, remove content, or take other reasonable action if we believe these terms have been breached.

4. The website assistant

The assistant embedded in our home page is a public demonstration of AskNode technology. It answers questions about AskNode from AskNode’s published website content.

Please note:

  • It can be wrong. Like any language-model system it may produce answers that are incomplete, out of date or incorrect, even when they appear confident. Verify anything that matters with us directly.
  • Answers are not advice or a commitment. Nothing it says is a quotation, a specification, a promise of delivery, or professional advice.
  • Do not enter confidential, personal or sensitive information. Your questions are transmitted to a third-party model provider and the assistant is not a confidential channel. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
  • We may change or withdraw it at any time, and we may rate limit or block use that is abusive or excessive.

5. No professional advice

Content on this site is provided for general information about our products. It is not legal, regulatory, security, procurement or compliance advice, and it is not tailored to your organisation. You are responsible for your own due diligence, including your own assessment of your regulatory position and of any vendor you engage.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its design and its content are owned by or licensed to AskNode and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view, and where the site offers it, print or download material for your own internal evaluation. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, sell or distribute it without our written permission.

The “AskNode” name and logo are ours. Third-party names, marks and logos shown on the site — including CRM, knowledge base, cloud and language-model providers — belong to their respective owners. Their appearance indicates compatibility or integration and does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship or partnership.

The site’s layout is based on the Clarity template by BootstrapMade, used under its licence. Components from Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons, AOS and PureCounter are used under their respective open source licences.

If you send us a message through the site, you keep ownership of it, and you grant us permission to use it to respond to you.

7. Availability and changes

The site is provided free of charge and we do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted or error free. We may modify, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, including the assistant, without notice. We do not promise to keep the site or its content up to date.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, and we exclude all implied terms, conditions, warranties and representations, including any implied warranty of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including any guarantee, condition or warranty implied by the Australian Consumer Law (as set out in Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the site;
  • we are not liable for any decision you take, or action you refrain from taking, in reliance on content on the site or on an answer produced by the assistant;
  • our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the site is limited to one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

These terms do not affect your statutory rights, and nothing here limits liability in respect of a separate written agreement we may enter into with you. Where we do enter into such an agreement, its terms prevail over these terms in the event of any conflict. If a guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law applies and cannot be excluded, our liability for failing to meet it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied, to the extent the law permits.

10. Third-party sites

The site links to third-party websites, for example LinkedIn. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk, and their terms will apply.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. General

  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and the courts of South Australia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
  • Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in full force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding use of the site.
  • Changes. We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the last revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
